National Living & Minimum Wage

From 1st April 2016 the Government’s National Living Wage is introduced for all employees aged 25 and over.

If you employee staff aged 25 or over that are not in the first year of an apprenticeship, they will legally be entitled to the National Living Wage from 1st April 2016.

This new living wage is higher than the National Minimum Wage and as an employer you’ll need to make sure you’re paying your employees the correct rates from 1st April 2016.

Company directors and family members of the employer living in the employer’s home are not entitled to the minimum wage.
